Summer Slim Down

Hot summer days mean little clothing and more skin showing, whether in shorts or bathing suits. And, as we grow wider, many people eagerly approach the fall for the fashions that are less revealing. If you want to use the summer to become healthier, begin to learn what a normal portion size is. Then increase your activities by walking at night, swimming in the day and biking several days a week. Today, the Centers for Disease Control stated that 65 % percentage of American adults are overweight. Some medical researchers attribute obesity to genetic and biologic reasons, others site food and diet. When you write down everything that passes your lips, you will be amazed at what you consume daily. For example, one ounce of cheese is equal to 4 stacked dice, a medium sized piece of fruit is a tight fist, a teaspoon is the tip of thumb and 3 ounces of protein, like fish, poultry or meat, is a deck of cards or palm of woman’s hand.
