Each year there are new fad diets. And, cyclical fad diets tend to reappear every six or seven years. As you may have noticed with many fads, although initially they have great success it is later followed by failure. Ultimately, the major reason that many fad diets lose luster is the dieter’s disappointment with the results, usually weight loss.
Although many people hope each year to find the secret of weight loss in diets, exercise gadgets, pills or powders, medical experts will tell you that weight management is as simple as regular daily exercise and eating a well balanced diet in moderation. Successful weight loss studies have shown that healthful eating that embraces all food groups, eating in moderation and daily exercise are the keys to long term weight control.
